STATEMENT
OF PURPOSE
Living Word Child Care Center is an outreach ministry of Living Word Christian Fellowship. The mission of our child care center is “Reaching Our Community One Child at a Time”.
We provide a warm, compassionate, safe environment with professional and trustworthy staff. We partner with parents to make a difference in the life of each child through open and honest communication. Our goal is to identify, develop, nurture and celebrate the gifts and talents of every child we reach.

ENROLLMENT
PROCEDURE
Enrollment
is on first come, first served basis. Living Word Christian Academy
and CHILD CARE CENTER enrolls children from 6 weeks to 12 years of age.
Parents will be required to present the following items:

A registration
packet must be completed and submitted, accompanied by a non-refundable
registration fee.

A universal health form must be filled out by a physician and submitted
to the administrative office.

All
students must have the immunizations that are required by the State
and present an up-to-date immunization record.

Verification
of Child Care subsidy (if applicable).

If
there is a court order affecting the custody of your child then
a certified court order must be attached to the application. In
the absence of a court order both parents have equal rights.
The
first week’s tuition paid one week prior to the start date and
every Friday thereafter. Copayments are to be paid on this schedule
as well.

Administrative
office will then call for an appointment with parent/guardian and child
to discuss parental and administrative expectations, center policies
and educational program.
You will
be given a time slot based on your need and our availability. To allow for adequate staffing, you must adhere
to your time slot. Any changes must be pre-approved by Administration.

GENERAL
INFORMATION
Living
Word Child Care Center is a privately ran state licensed Center, which
provides full-day, part-time, and extended care services for school
age, preschoolers, toddlers and infants. The Center is open Monday through
Friday, all year round, from 7:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. The daily schedule
includes an educational program appropriate for the needs, abilities
and levels of development of each child.
Scheduled
Closings:
The Center
will be closed on the following holidays: New Years Day, Founder’s
Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and
the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, Martin
Luther King’s Birthday, and Good Friday.
Emergency Closings
In the event of an emergency closing, we will make every effort to contact
you at your emergency number. For school closings due to inclement weather
tune into News Channel 12, www.news12.com, 94.3 FM, www.943thepoint.com.

FINANCIAL POLICY
Fees:
There is a non-refundable registration fee due at the time of initial enrollment. Registration fee will be billed annually.
Payments:
Childcare subsidy co-payments and out of pocket payments are to be made every Friday unless other arrangements have been made with the office. Tuition payments are due in advance for that following week. No account will be permitted to be more than one (1) week past due.
There will be no credit given on tuition for scheduled daycare holidays, inclement weather, emergency closing, absences due to suspension or your personal vacation. In the event of absences due to an extended illness with proof of medical care and/or hospitalization the parent will be given credit for half of the tuition due for the period of absence.

WITHDRAWAL/TERMINATION
POLICY
You may withdraw your child at any time however; there must be a two-week
notice of withdrawal in writing. You will be responsible for the two
(2) weeks’ tuition.
Living Word CHILD CARE CENTER reserves the right
to terminate a child from the program at any time. Types of behavior
and/or conduct Living Word considers potential for termination include,
but are not limited to the following:
A. Verbal abuse or threats by parents toward staff.
B. Behavior, which is physically or emotionally dangerous to the other
children, staff or themselves.
C. Repeated biting of other children or staff.
D. Severe disciplinary problems.
E. Non-payment of tuition.
F. Three or more times late picking up child at Center’s closing
time.

PARENTAL
CONCERNS
Living Word
Child Care Center wants nothing less than a pleasant experience for
you and your child during his enrollment. Should any concerns arise
in the classroom first address the issue with the teacher. If you feel
it has not been resolved then you should speak to the Program Coordinator.
If deemed necessary by Administration there will be a meeting with both
parent and teacher. All other concerns should be directed to the Administrative
office.
We are here to serve you and your child therefore we have a zero tolerance for any verbal abuse or threats toward staff made by parent or child. This could result in immediate dismissal of your child.
