We greet you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We thank God for His faithfulness during these challenging times. As many of you are aware, the catastrophic Category 5 storm, Hurricane Melissa, has devastated the island of Jamaica, leaving thousands displaced, without food, shelter, or access to basic necessities.

 

In response, Bishop Cedric Miller, Bishop Paul Brown, Overseer Audley Largie, and other bishops and pastors in the surrounding communities are organizing a relief effort to provide urgent aid to those affected. We invite your participation in this vital humanitarian mission.

During this event, we will accept monetary donations and physical supplies for shipping. We are also working to have an official representative from Jamaica join us to deliver remarks and share an encouraging message from the island.

 

Critical Shipping Deadline: November 28, 2025:
The Government of Jamaica has granted a customs relief waiver on all hurricane-related aid, which expires on November 28, 2025. It is crucial that we receive and ship all donations before
this date to ensure they arrive without delay or extra costs. Our tentative ship date is,
Monday, November 24, 2025 (to avoid Thanksgiving holiday rush or conflict).

How to Support
1. Churches are asked to designate collection areas where members can drop off supplies.
2. Attend the November 16th service and encourage your congregations to give generously.
3. Early Drop off at Living Word will be Saturday, November 15 from 10am to 1pm
4. We will need volunteers on Monday, November 17, 2pm to 8pm at Living Word Christian Fellowship to assist with the packing of the barrels for shipment.
5. Share this initiative with others who may be willing to help.
